General questions

  • Yes, please! All content necessary for the project should be ready to go by our agreed upon start date unless discussed prior. Failure to do so could result in rescheduling the project to a later date and/or a restart fee.

Need content created for you? I do offer this service separately.

  • Yes, payments are are available in 2-5 parts (depending on your budget & needs), with a non-refundable deposit required up front to secure your booking.

  • No. All deposits are nonrefundable as it is my way of securing your spot in the queue. I book projects several months ahead of time, and scheduling ensures that I give all of my clients the proper amount of time that a project deserves. As a result, I turn away clients for your reserved time slot. If you back out of the project, you may leave an empty spot that could have been given to another project. The deposits ensure that clients are serious about moving forward with the project—and that my time & schedule are respected.

  • If for some reason you are still not happy after refinement rounds, we will continue the refinement process at my current hourly rate.

We go through an in-depth questionnaire & briefing process in the beginning to make sure we are on the same page, so most of the time 2 refinement rounds are plenty.

  • Each project timeline has be thoughtfully created to give us enough time to do our research, for me to draft your design & for us to go through the refinement rounds. However, there are some circumstances in which your project may be able to be turned around quicker if the situation allows. If you need to rush your project, please let me know well in advance so I can create a custom quote based on your requirements. A rush fee may be added depending on the deadline & complexity of the project.

  • I usually book 3-5 weeks in advance, so I would recommend getting in touch with me as soon as you start thinking you need a designer & well before your deadline.

Branding questions

  • A brand identity is made up visual elements that become your brand’s visual language. This includes a logo, image style, color palette, font suite, etc. The visual language is then depicted in a style guide. A logo is simply a graphic image, motif or typographic element that represents your brand.

  • Design concepts are the different options & direction your brand could go in. I provide up to 3 rounds in which the first round presents the different concepts. Once you have narrowed down your choices, rounds 2 & 3 will be used to refine your chosen route. Revisions involve changes to shape, font & proportions of the logo without changing the entire concept.

  • It’s important for your logo to be strong on its own & to select your logo without being influenced by color variations. Once we finalize the rest of your brand & get clear on your imagery & over all feel, we can then determine what colors will work best for your brand.

website questions

  • I whole heartedly believe Squarespace is the best platform for most modern small to medium sized businesses. It is both beautiful & highly functional—and has the flexibility, mobile responsiveness and ease of editing needed for those with any level of website content editing. Not a techy? That’s okay! Every website I build comes with an offboarding session, in which I’ll show you everything you need to know.

  • You must have all website content (imagery & text) ready to go by our agreed upon start date. Failure to do so could result in rescheduling the project to a later date and/or a restart fee.

The best projects are well thought out & prepared before any designs are conceptualized. When the project goals are finalized before the project, you & I are working with a clear direction, purpose, and mission.

Need help organizing your content? I’ll provide a content collection questionnaire & set you up on Google Drive so that you can upload everything I’ll need for your website’s success.

  • If you pay your deposit to book your spot, but then do not complete your project homework or do not commit to having your content ready to go, you will be bumped to the next available spot & required to pay a rescheduling fee to re-book your project back in.

  • For an added fee, I can write your website’s copy.

  • No, butI collaborate with multiple photographers that take beautiful & professional photos, so please get in touch if your business needs hi-res photographs to do your new website justice. I also offer photoshoot planning & supervision to ensure your overall vision is captured.

  • Each website package timeline has been thoughtuflly created to give us enough time to do our research, for me to draft your design, and for us to go through the testing stage. However, there are some circumstances in which your site may be able to be turned around quicker if the situation allows. If you need a rush project, please let me know well in advance so I can create a custom quote based on your requirements & a rush fee may be added depending on the deadline & complexity of the site.

  • I believe it’s important for every one of my clients to have access to their website so that they can make small adjustments to text, prices, photos, etc.

Each of my packages comes with an in-person OR online offboarding session and PDF to support the launch and continued success of your brand’s website—without locking you into an ongoing relationship with me.

After your offboarding session, full ownership of your website will be transferred to you.

Too busy for DIY? Whether you need your website edited or updated, a page added, etc., I’m here to help. Just give me a shout and we can work out the scope (either charged by the job or monthly). From there, I can work away while you focus on your business, spend time with your peeps, or hang out on a sandy beach somewhere.

  • Yes. I usually book 3-5 weeks in advance, so I would recommend getting in touch with me as soon as you are starting the branding process (if going with another designer for the branding) or at least eight weeks before your deadline (the sooner the better!).

  • In the traditional web design process, there are sometimes wireframes involved, but for Squaerspace & within my process, they aren’t needed. We go straight to on-platform design with the full page content. This just gives you a full idea of the site with working buttons, images & a responsive layout (instead of flat wireframe).
